Terms and Conditions

  Contract Once an appointment has been made to provide any services offered by Styling Places, these standard terms and conditions will apply. Please read these carefully prior to instruction and sign the acceptance on instruction. 

Timescales Styling Places will endeavour to advise the client of predicted timescales of works as soon as is possible after quotations have been produced. Any dates provided will be ‘best estimate’ and Styling Places cannot be held responsible for any delay in completion. 

Client Obligations The client will ensure that the property is accessible to representatives of Styling Places including any third party suppliers.The client will ensure that utilities such as electricity and water are available for use at the property for the duration of the works at no cost to Styling Places. 

Purchase and / or rental of Products Occasionally Styling Places may need to purchase goods and materials for the client in addition to the services already proposed. In such cases 100% of the agreed purchase price is required from the client prior to purchase of the agreed goods and materials.In cases where furniture or accessories have been rented, it remains the responsibility of the client to insure all items against all damage or loss. 

 Insurances It will be the responsibility of the client at all times to insure their property and contents against damage and loss including any goods and materials (either purchased or hired) as soon as delivered to the clients property

 Third Party Suppliers  The client will form a direct contractual relationship with third party suppliers and will be responsible for managing these relationships and financial settlements directly with the third party supplierIf so requested, Styling Places may co ordinate the services of third party suppliers on the client s behalf, as part of the services undertaken, but the client will remain ultimately responsible for the contractual relationship with the third party supplier. 

Payment and Billing Terms Quoted prices are valid for a period of three months.Payments for initial verbal consultations to be paid in advance of the appointment date. Written and photo Consultations to be paid in full upon acceptance of quotation.Full project management fees to be paid – 50% payable upon acceptance of quotation. Final 50% immediately on completion of project.All payments are due immediately upon presentation of invoice, except where invoice is sent by post whereby payment will be due 5 days from the date of the invoice. Payment should be made, ideally, by electronic transfer(BACS). Cheque with a valid guarantee card and cash are also acceptable   All cheques should be made out to R M Alcock Daily interest at the rate of 5% per calendar month shall be payable on all invoices and amounts not settled by their due date. Any interest charges will be added monthly thereafter from the due date until settlement is received.Should Styling Places have to instruct a debt recovery agency or instigate legal proceedings, the client will be liable for any costs incurred. 

Cancellation policy  The client has the right to cancel the contract at any time by giving notice in writing to Styling Places.The client will be liable to pay Styling Places for the services provided to the date of the cancellation (including but not limited to services already provided, goods and materials supplied or ordered on the clients behalf, any services that may incur cancellation fees and any travel or accommodation costs incurred by Styling Places Consultants) 

General Styling Places shall not be liable for any failure to perform its duties under this agreement due to circumstances beyond its control including, without limitation, flood, fire or other adverse weather conditions.Clients agree for selected photographs of their property to be used for portfolio purposes unless specifically requested otherwise.
